Dolmenwood Third-Party Licence

Mosswood Codex is an independent product published under the Dolmenwood Third-Party Licence and is not affiliated with or approved by Necrotic Gnome. Dolmenwood® and all related characters and elements are © Necrotic Gnome and used with permission under licence.
What this means for campaigns hosted here
The mechanical structures the service ships in code — calendar month + weekday names, the moon-name list, the kindred + class identifiers, the dungeon-generation tables — are defensible reuse of rules content permitted under the Third-Party Licence.
The narrative content shown by the service — spell descriptions, moon-sign effects, weather flavour text, calendar annotations, POI iconography — ships as content packs that each campaign imports separately. The dolmendark reference campaign ships seed content drawn from Dolmenwood reference material. Other campaigns start empty and the GM imports their own packs.
When you, as a GM, host a campaign on Mosswood Codex and import Dolmenwood-licensed content into it, that content remains subject to the same Third-Party Licence terms as if you'd shared it yourself. Mosswood Codex stores it and renders it to your campaign members under that licence.
If you spot a licence violation
If you believe the service is hosting content that exceeds what the Dolmenwood Third-Party Licence permits — either in the seed content or in a user-imported pack — write to support@mosswoodcodex.com. We'll review and take down the affected content if the report is valid.
